Terms & conditions contain important information relating to your car hire. Please read the full terms and conditions found in your documentation and feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Pricing: All prices shown on this site are in Australian Dollars (AUD), except for optional accessories i.e. child seats, GPS hire, young or additional driver fees or one-way surcharge etc, where applicable. These are quoted in the local foreign currency. All local currency amounts for any applicable accessories are paid directly to the service provider at the commencement of the hire.

All supplier conditions as per the Invoice confirmation are correct at time of issue but are subject to change. Please refer to your confirmation invoice for details.

Quotes: All quotes subject to change at time of booking

Payment: We accept payment by bank transfer, credit card, or via E-Nett. Please note a 2% surcharge will apply for Visa and Mastercard credit card payments, and a 4% surcharge will apply for AMEX credit card payments. Payment is due as per the due date on the confirmation invoice that is issued. If payment is not received by the due date, reservations may be cancelled.

Prepaid Voucher: Will be issued on receipt of payment once booking is confirmed. You must print and present this upon collection of your vehicle along with passport, driver’s license and major credit card.

Amendments: Compass Cars does not charge any amendment fees for car hire. No fee will be incurred unless applied by the supplier. Please note that some amendments will cause the booking to be recalculated at the best available rate at the time of amendment. Amendment fees may apply for amended Citroen EuroPass and motorhome rental bookings.

Cancellations: Compass Cars does not charge any cancellation fees for car hire. No fee will be incurred unless applied by the supplier. Cancellation fees apply for cancelled Citroen EuroPass and motorhome rental bookings.

Refunds: In the event of a cancellation all funds will be fully refunded less any cancellation fee that may apply as per above. There are no refunds for unused days/early returns.

Vehicle Types: All vehicles are guaranteed by group, not by specific model.

Travel Insurance: Travel insurance is highly recommended to cover loss of deposit, any applicable cancellation charges, insurance excess where applicable and/or any unforeseen circumstances. Please contact your preferred Travel Agent or Travel Insurance supplier for details.

Optional Extras: Charges apply for optional extras such as GPS, infant seats, child toddler seats, booster seats & winter equipment. Charges vary among suppliers and are paid locally in local currency upon pick-up of vehicle.

One-way hires: One way fees may apply and are paid locally in local currency upon pick-up of vehicle.

Frequent Flyer Points: Points do not apply to any car hire products or other services we offer, unless stated otherwise.

Customer Complaints Policy: Should a disagreement or dispute arise with Asia Pacific Travel Marketing Services and a service provider, all details must be submitted in writing to the attention of the Managing Director at the address shown within 30 days of your return travel to Australia. All correspondence will be acknowledged within 7 days and forwarded to the applicable service provider for investigation. We undertake to do all possible to provide a resolution to any complaints brought to our attention within a period not exceeding 90 days from date of receiving initial complaint.

General Disclaimer and Liability: Whilst care is taken to ensure all to ensure all information contained is correct at time of printing, we shall not be liable for any inaccuracies contained in any material provided to us by our providers. Asia Pacific Travel Marketing Services and its employees shall not be liable to any person for any injury, damage, loss, delay, irregularity or expenses suffered as a result of any act of neglect, war, terrorism, acts of God of Force Majeure, riots, strikes, epidemics, quarantine, medical, customs, visa regulations or dissatisfaction with any service provided.
